    Jonah Hex Trailer!

One of DC Comics lesser known characters with a  really gross burnt face is hitting the big screen this summer and for a C-List comic book character, It has a pretty amazing cast. Jonah Hex is played by, Josh Brolin. The movie also stars the hottttttttttttttttttttttt Megan Fox, and the lead villain is played by the great and very spooky/creepy, John Malkovich. The effects seem pretty good. It should be a fun popcorn movies. It doesn’t seem like anything ground breaking but I’ll probably go see it. After all it has, guns, special effects, explosions, and Megan Fox. That’s pretty much everything you need in a summer movie.

Kan Jam! The new Beer Pong?

Get ready for good weather and BBQ’s with your friends getting so drunk they wake up naked in your shed hugging your mom’s photo. So break-out the beer pong table and your favorite beer. OR…you can put it aside for just a little bit and try thins game that’s sweeping drunken campuses across the nation.

It’s a game called Kan Jam. The best way to describe how to play this crazy game is for you to just go to this link http://www.kanjam.com/Game/HowToPlay.aspx Me and my friends play this whenever we’re all together drinking and having fun in someone’s backyard. Don’t get me wrong, THIS IS NOT A DRINKING GAME! It just gets more fun as you drink if you ask me. This game is really hard to find. When I was first told about this game, I was coming home from doing a comedy show and my friend spoke of an epic game that needed to be played. So I then went on my quest to find this Kan Jam. I went on a gurney so epic, I even came across a golem. Or I was already drunk before playing it. Either way, I checked all the sporting goods stores in my area and nobody had it or they were totally sold-out. I then went to the website ( http://www.kanjam.com/ ) and I had that beast delivered to my house. With in a couple of day, I was jamming my own kan.(that sounded so wrong) When you look around the website, you’ll find that the Kan Jam community is HUGE. They sell t-shirts, they have street teams, they have a national league, and they have a store where you can buy various colored Frisbee that fit your personality.  SO GO GET SOME!

    First Image of, THOR!!!

I’ll make this one kind of quick because i’m so excited to share this with people.  Yup, I just had a total nerd-gasm. Thor has been filming for months now and shockingly, no leaks have popped up on movie news sites. Thanks to superherohype.com and yahoo! movies, we can finally see (a little bit) what Thor will look like. It’s only a tease but wow. So far it looks faithful to the comic. ENJOY! If you have problems with the image then here’s a link to the superherohype post, http://www.superherohype.com/news/thornews.php?id=9345

Wear some Art on Your Chest With Threadless.

Are you looking for a place to find t-shirt art of zombies, old school super heroes, psychedelic designs that could be dangerous if mixed with weed, and other things that make no sense but look awesome on a t-shirt? Well then you need to head down to Threadless.com.

I use to love Ed Hardy shirts and Affliction shirts…before they were kidnapped and abused by your local douche bag fist pumping club heads that you may catch on the Jersey Shore. That’s why I love Threadless.com This isn’t just a trendy design. These are t-shirts designed for the people, by the people and Threadless only produces the most eye-popping visual designs that you can slap on someones chest. I have purchased a bunch of tees from Threadless and I’m very happy with how they fit and what they look like. Not to mention, I get stopped constantly (not because I’m dead sexy) on the street because people love the shirts.

Threadless.com is also a website where t-shirt enthusiasts and artist can design and purchase shirts that they design. But it’s not as easy as it sounds. This isn’t an ordinary design and buy website like cafepress. Once you create a profile and submit one of your designs that meet the criteria, It then get’s accepted by Threadless as a potential design and is voted on by your Threadless pears for a seven-day process. Your peers can also leave you comments. I found that this is a very supportive community as well. If you’re not sure if your design is ready to submit, you can always submit it to the critique section where the comments are always helpful. Now the icing on the cake. If your shirt does get accepted for print, you’ll get $2,000 in cash, $500 Threadless Gift Certificate (can be redeemed for $200 cash), $500 in cash each time your design is reprinted, up to $22,500 more if you win a “Bestee” in the Threadless awards, and last is an Alumni Club membership that includes a Medal of Honor and other stuff. Over all I think this is a really cool way for creative artist to potentially make some money in this tough time.  Threadless also has stores in Chicago. Go get some!

    Steve Rogers Reborn?

It’s hump day! For all of us nerds out there, we know Wednesdays as New Comic Book Day!! As I entered my local comic shop in Smith Towns called, Fourth World Comics, I picked up the latest Marvel Previews magazine. The first thing I saw when I opened the cover page was an advertisement for a new book called, (spoiler) Steve Rogers: Super Soldier!!  After giving up the mantle of Captain America to his former side-kick, Bucky Barns, many comic book fans have wondered what the fate of Cap Version 1.0 would be. I can now tell you that this art work is visual proof that Steve Rogers is back in a major way. The Book will probably ship some time this summer but I’m excited to buy it because it’s in good hands. The book will be written by comic book heavy hitter, Ed Brubaker. For those who live under a rock,  Ed Brubaker  was responsible for the death and resurrection of Captain America. He is also the man who gave Bucky Barns( a.k.a, The Winter Soldier a.k.a. The New Captain America) a main event spot amongst the other top super heroes.  The art is done by Dale Eaglesham. He has recently done some amazing art work for the Fantastic Four.

Over all, I’m really excited about this book and to see what the future holds for this new incarnation of Steve Rogers. What other books will we see him in? Could he be leading an entirely new team of Avengers? (wink, wink) We’ll find out soon.

yeah should be an interesting read! I look forward to it. Although, there’s only one cap for me: Steve Rogers. Bucky’s kinda lame, just my thoughts, thanks for the update.

I totally get what you’re saying. I liked Bucky better as The Winter Soldier.

3D or not 3D? That is the question.

So I recently went to the movies to see Clash of the Titans. I was very on the fence about seeing it in 3D. I know that the movie was shot without the intent to release it in 3D but in the end I guess the studio said, Hey! all the cool kids are doing it! So they went ahead and converted to 3D format. Knowing that I wasn’t going to see anything eye-popping in three dimensional format. I STILL went with the 3D. I can honestly say, I wish I just would have seen it in standard format. Don’t get me wrong! Clash of the Titans was a great popcorn movie. I enjoyed it just as much as the original oh and SPOILER…(the owl makes a cameo) but there was nothing that the 3D did that caught my attention like Avatar did. To me, it was a quick way to get more money out of people by making the 3D version because ticket prices for these movies or more $ than a standard screening. My spidey sense was tingling about this but they got me; hook like and sinker.

This popular trend has officially divided my feelings on what I think of 3D movies. On one hand, you have so many movies slated to come out in 3D that may be big budget popcorn movies but they really don’t concentrate on bringing that visual flair that 3D is supposed to bring the viewer. People need to be more aware of that because then it’s just the film industry ripping off the consumer. Unless you enjoy that kind of thing! If you actually paid to see Final Destination in 3D then you probably think I’m crazy.

On the other hand you have these visually stimulating movies being shot in IMAX 3D that are bringing film making to another level. Movies like Avatar and Iron Man 2 are concentrating on bringing the viewer into an immersive experience.

I’ve learned the hard way. I will never have another Clash of the Titans experience again. I’m writing this because I hope more people become aware of this. That being said, let’s have fun with 3D! Lets push the limits in what it can do. If more people keep making My Bloody Valentine 3D..it’s just going to become a cheap parlor trick that will end-up as a bad joke on a VH1 special when they talk about our decade.

Andrew Lincoln Starring in Walking Dead

AMC has officially announced that it has signed Andrew Lincoln for the lead role as officer Rick Grimes in the network’s adaptation of the wildly popular comic book series, The Walking Dead. This announcement comes shortly after the news that actor, Jon Bernthal will play the role Shane; who is Rick’s best friend and former partner on the police force. The story follows a group of survivors as they try to live life after a zombie invasion has decimated everything and everyone.                          I for one can’t wait to see how this show turns out. I am I huge fan of the series and I hope it remains faithful to the books. I know that the series has been given the greenlight for six episodes. Robert Kirkman (author of The Walking Dead) writes this series with more of a heart filled human nature approach. This is not your run of the mill splatter house graphic novel. This is a story of emotion. You truly watch the characters go through so much change and you become attached to Rick Grimes along the way. I think the casting is great. Andrew Lincoln looks as if he can play the part well. Let’s just hope this doesn’t take a wrong turn down zombie franchise hell and go all cheesy House of The Dead on us. AMC has a good opportunity to make something great and bring drama to horror.

    Attack of the Hurds

Hey  there! I spend most of my time working in NYC and I¦¥uro;¢ve performed most of my shows in NYC. It has occurred to me that at some point in pop culture it became cool to be a nerd. I have no problem with that because as hard as it may be to believe. I myself am a HUGE nerd. I’m a comic book reading, wrestling watching, Ghost Hunters loven, writing and drawings HUUUGE NERD. In resent times, there has been some kind of hybrid created in the city life. The new “fad” is to be a “HERD” (yup…I¦¥uro;¢m trade marking that word) this transformer like hybrid is NOT so cool. It comes in the form of a nerd look with some hippie flare. So break out your nerd glasses, some flip flops, and all of the organic clothing you could gather and walk your little ass over to a coffee shop (Not Starbuck you idiot! That’s waaay to commercial for Herds)If you would like to spot a HERD, don’t bother looking in best buy or virgin records, your best bet is a no name music store with shelves hanging by a thread. Now, I say these things with great caution because I don’t want to be misunderstood. I RESPECT the artsy crowd that works hard to have a reason to be able to sport the ol HURD look. You were raised with free spirit parents and now you¦¥uro;¢re enjoying a new job at a graphic design company or you just got into college…I GET IT!! But don’t have a sudden epiphany that this style looks awesome and you need to go get you some organic clothing while driving your SUV and tossing your empty supersized cup from Burger King out the window. A city that breeds originality needs to keep that intact. Don’t just fallow the masses. I think I’m going to go make a hamburger meat outfit and go jogging in Central Park…See ya later.

    Keep it funny-Stilly
